Sheet Cake

2 cups sugar
2 cups sifted flour
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Icing:
1 stick margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
5 tbsp milk
Mix together sugar and flour in a large bowl. Bring to a boil the
margarine, crisco, cocoa, and water. Pour hot mixture over flour
and sugar and mix til blended. Add 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 tsp salt,
1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp soda (dissolved in the buttermilk), and 1 tsp
vanilla to the above mixture and beat until blended. Bake at 400
degrees for 25 minutes in a 15 x 10x 1 well oiled pan. To make
icing bring milk, margarine and cocoa to boil. Add powdered
sugar, nuts, and vanilla. Pour over cake while warm.
