Michigan Cornbread

You will need:
1 egg
1 1/8 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
4 tbsp sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp soft lard (or vegetable shortening)
Beat egg with milk and combine with all other ingredients. Mix
well before spooning into a greased 9 inch baking dish. Bake 20
minutes in 425 degree oven.
